Dr. Jason and Dr. Jenny Kestner have been a staple of the Nashville chiropractic scene for nearly two decades. Their care for patients is second-to-none. Contact them to have a variety of aches and pains go away forever.
A headache is a very generalized term given to pain that is felt in the head or sometimes the neck. There are many different types of pain associated with headaches ranging from acute localized discomfort to a more generalized ache. Some headaches may appear suddenly and only last for a short period of time while others may build gradually and last for several hours.
Neck pain is a relatively common ailment, of which most of us will experience at least once in our lifetime. In most cases, neck pain will improve and disappear on its own, but if you frequently suffer from this problem, or find that conventional ways of relieving your pain are not working, you may want to consider chiropractic care.
Most chest pain isn’t a sign of anything serious and often isn’t caused by a heart problem. Nevertheless, it’s important to get it checked out. Heartburn, chest infections, muscle strain and anxiety can all cause chest pain. Some of these can be alleviated with chiropractic care. More serious causes of chest pain include angina, pericarditis and a heart attack. If you experience sudden chest pain that spreads to your arms, back, neck or jaw, causes you to feel short of breath, sweat or feel/be sick and lasts more than 15 minutes, it’s essential that you call 911 immediately as you could be having a heart attack.
The shoulder joint is one of the most complex joints of the human body. The shoulder depends on multiple systems of ligaments, muscles and tendons. These systems work together to stabilize the shoulder and provide functional movement along with allowing other supporting joints to do the same.
As people age, it is a common often belief that the pain and discomfort associated with our joints is a normal occurrence that we are forced to live with. While our joints can experience levels of degradation as we age, the pain and reduced mobility that is often associated with arthritis doesn’t have to be something that we suffer through. Instead, let's review some of the facts around chiropractic care and how it can be beneficial in treating the pain associated with arthritis.
As the professional community ages, the diagnoses of carpal tunnel syndrome continue to rise. Carpal tunnel syndrome is commonly associated with the repetitive movement related to typing on a keyboard with improper hand positioning. Carpal tunnel syndrome creates a burning, numbness, or tingling sensation in the hands or wrists and can occur on one or both sides.
Lower back pain is an exceptionally common complaint and it is estimated that 80% of Americans will suffer from it at some point during their lifetime. Lower back pain is also a leading cause of absence from work due to ill health, even though more than half of all cases are believed to be a direct result of the patient doing a job that involves continual sitting.
Hip pain can be temporary or chronic, and can be caused by a range of different factors, the most common of which is osteoarthritis. Patients with osteoarthritis experience inflammation of the tissues around the joint including damage to cartilage, and this can lead to pain, stiffness and mobility issues. Less commonly, hip pain can be caused by other issues with the musculoskeletal system such as problems with the shape of the bones, infections or fractures. The good news is hip pain can nearly always be improved using chiropractic treatment.
Knee pain is a very common issue, and in most cases, occurs as a result of an injury to the joint and surrounding soft tissue. This can be from an individual event or as a result of overuse, such as through playing sport. Stiffness and inflammation often accompany knee pain, and you may find it difficult to use the joint as you would normally. Chiropractic treatment is highly beneficial at treating knee pain and its associated effects, as well as the underlying cause.
Many people live with consistent and regular foot pain. While others may have pain that occurs only when they are engaged in certain activities. While orthotics may not be the right answer for everyone to help with this pain, it’s a good idea to consult with a professional to decide if orthotics are a good option for you.
For nearly two decades, Kestner Health + Wellness has been a top chiropractic team. Serving Nashville, Brentwood, Franklin, Bellevue, and the surrounding areas. Dr. Jason Kestner, DC, and Dr. Jenny Kestner, DC, PScD, have decades of combined experience.
“We created Kestner Health and Wellness out of disappointment that people were not getting to the root cause of their problems. We knew people suffering could get better, could feel amazing. We knew those in pain did not have to stay in pain forever. We have created a ‘one stop shop’ – we don’t deliver babies, but we do everything else. The conventional medical model is waiting for people to become sick, then attempting to repair the issue with surgery or mask it with medication. We choose to help people eliminate pain, get healthy, then stay healthy and pain-free. True health, for body and mind. We provide education for our clients. The people we humbly serve do not just get better, they learn why they’re getting better. And how to stay better. How to go through life relaxed, rested, confident. We are very proud of our team and results.”
I have been going to Kestner Chiropractics for a good number of years now and have been helped in many areas of my health. They have helped me with my back issues and I feel SO much better when I get adjusted on a regular basis. My work requires a lot of walking all day so they are presently helping me with knee issues and the treatments are helping with the pain in my knees. I absolutely love the staff and know they care greatly about helping others maintain good health. I am very thankful for all their help.
Kestner Health and Wellness has helped me so much. I was at the point where I could barely walk. I was having multiple back spasms every day and it was really affecting my quality of life and ability to work at my very active job. I have been getting adjustments for a month now and have had amazing results. I’m no longer having spasms daily. I even walked over 9 miles in one day this past week when my husband and I were in Vegas!! The staff here is so friendly and encouraging. I would definitely recommend this company and their services.
I have been going to Kestner Health and Wellness for over 12 years. They are so different from other chiropractors I have been to. They are not only there to adjust you but they care about the whole body. I also get yearly updates on how I am improving overall. Whenever I have a problem they are always there with recommendations. I have seen them grow over the years and they still put patients first and have the best relationships with their clients.
Holistically Kestner Heath and Wellness offers the best chiropractic and health care in the Nashville area. I came to Kestner’s after being referred by and friend and loved my experience. I have been coming regularly now since summer. Multiple family members now are patients as well and we will stay as long as we live in TN! We are grateful to have found this clinic!
Easily the best chiropractic team I have worked with. The team at Kestner Health & Wellness truly care about the people that come in, from the moment the step in the door. I compete in triathlon and have suffered from multiple injuries over the years as well as common aches and pains that come with training at an elite level. Chiropractic care has been a part of my routine for years now, but Kestner Health & Wellness is the only place I have stayed with long term. They are professional, they deliver results (reducing pain/ providing long-term care plans), and the people are just genuinely good people. It is clear that they care, and it is clear that they help.
I came into Kestner with lower and upper back pain. I had been under the impression for years that my lower back was my biggest issue because it gave me the most trouble. After the free consultation and exam I was amazed to see that my lower back was in better shape than my neck area. I had lost my curve and as a result formed bone spurs. The experience with Dr. Jason and his whole staff those inital visits impressed me. They were knowledgeable, kind, and concerned about my health. They have worked with me to help other family members which is a kindness I'll never forget. I love how they have reputable health products readily available for me to supplement my nutrition. Those supplements have always been on the shelf for me to grab as I leave. I enjoy the alkaline water they provide.
After only three weeks I could see the value in what I was doing. My muscles were way less tense and growing stronger every day. Julie is a peach! They all listen very well but I have shared emotional moments with her and she truly cares. She is knowledgeable and has valuable advice.
I look forward to coming to Kestner every time. Honestly I feel as though I could stay a while, which means the experience is pleasurable for me.
Top notch in my book!
The entire Kestner team is very attentive and genuine about caring for their patients. They have so much knowledge on what it takes to heal and how the process and spine works. I’ve been going here for about a year now and have had dramatic change in my lower back pain. Thank you guys!
I have had chronic migraines for over 20 years. I have gone to multiple neurologists and tried everything you can think of to get rid of them; medications, botox, and spinal taps to name a few. Since I started going to Kestner Health a month ago my migraines are almost completely gone without medication!! I love these guys everyone is so friendly and actually knows me by name which makes me feel so welcome.
